We are an authorized factory service center for warranty and out-of-warranty repairs on Minn Kota, Garmin, Lowrance, Motorguide, TH Marine, and Power-Pole.

We take trolling motors off the boat on a first come, first serve basis. Once here, a motor is added to our queue and put on the bench when its turn comes. We put a price together and contact you for approval before spending any of your money. From there, we get the motor repaired and tested. We aim to keep this process as quick as possible and are currently turning motors around within 2 weeks. Please note that we do not diagnose issues over the phone.

Unfortunately we do not touch any gasoline engines. We specialize in all things electric.

Due to overwhelming demand, all installs and repairs are by appointment only. Please call, email, or stop in ahead of time to get on our calendar. 9-1-1 repairs may be available based on cancellations and other factors, but please contact us for availability. Please note that we do not diagnose issues over the phone.

Absolutely! We take motors, electronics, and shallow water anchors on trade as often as possible. Take a look at our Certified Pre-Owned page to see current available used items, or contact us to ask about our Trade-In / Trade-Up program and get an estimate on your trade-in value.

We are happy to now offer rental services for trolling motors in 12, 24, and 36 volts. Whether you'd like to carry a backup for your vacation or borrow a motor while yours is under repair, we have a few motors to choose from (pending availability). Rates are as follows:

Weekend Rental (Friday-Monday): $100

Full Week Rental (10 Days): $200

Full Month Rental (30 Days): $500

Rentals for motors under repair will be offered at a flat rate of $200 for the duration of your motor's stay (estimated 3 week timeframe). If a motor is completed quicker than expected, rate will be discounted to $10/day if total comes to less than $200.

*Motors not returned in a timely manner will incur additional charges, and motors not returned at all will result in a charge for the stated full value of the trolling motor at the time of rental.*

Boat Things is a NMEA certified installation center, meaning we are held to a higher standard by the National Marine Electronics Association that governs the boating industry. Very few folks have the expertise and experience we do, and we strive to get things right the first time. If we are repairing a product, we don't just throw parts at it. If we are installing units, we know the proper wire size, connections, fuses, accessory cables, and cable routing to make sure everything works. We also never rush a job; we'd rather take the extra time to make sure you don't have any self-inflicted issues. There's a good reason a lot of anglers and dealers around Ohio trust Boat Things!
